It is our goal at
Femail Creations to make a difference in the
lives of women and children and to leave the planet
a better place. To help fulfill this mission
created, "Making a Difference", our charitable
giving program.
From the first issue of our catalog,
Femail Creations has featured a charity and
donated a portion of the proceeds of our catalog
sales directly to that charity. We have continued
with this traditional in each and every edition of
our catalog. To date our "Making a Difference"
program has generated thousands of dollars that have
been used to provide assistance to women and
children in need.
Rowell Foster Children's Positive Plan
Over 500,000 children in the U.S. currently
reside in some form of foster care. Placements in
foster care have dramatically increased over the
past 10 years. Despite the increasing numbers,
children in foster care and foster parents are
mostly "invisible" in communities and often lack
many needed supports and resources.
In 1990, Victoria Rowell started the Rowell
Foster Children's Positive Plan, a scholarship fund
dedicated to helping foster children thrive through
fine arts, sports, and job opportunities. Having
been a foster child herself, Ms. Rowell was given
the opportunity to take classical ballet at the age
of eight and through this beginning she was able to
base her now flourishing career. Ms. Rowell is
committed to giving other foster children the
opportunity that was afforded to her by her foster
mother, the late Agatha Armstead, the Ford
Foundation, and the many mentors whom she
encountered along the way.
