Book Description
This book will bring about a remarkable change in your play and most likely your winnings. Thousands of gamblers agree that this is the most important book ever published on the lucrative game of casino Blackjack.
Although the book is designed more for the card counting player, there is still plenty of information for the beginning or casual player. On the other extreme: for those who are more ambitious the book details The Uston Advanced Point Count. The APC is considered one of the most powerful (and complicated) count systems ever. It is still every bit as applicable today as it was in the 70's when it was developed. Several other simpler count systems that Uston devised are also covered in great detail. Stories of how they won millions of dollars from the casinos are inspiring and enjoyable to read. |

Review
Amazon reader review: I've purchased this book over a year ago and it has done wonders for my play at
Blackjack. It's a simple system that makes sense for every logical move and straight to the
point. And it works. My last trip out to Atlantic city at the Trump Taj Mahal I started with $200 at the beginning of the shoe.. Was me and the dealer one on one in a multiple deck game since there is a no midshoe entry rule at the
Taj. Half hour later at the end of the shoe I walked away with $1,300 for a profit of $1,100.You
don't need a complicated "professional" system to be one up on the game and
casinos'. Anyone who wants to learn the game and not spend
a lot of money on "complicated professional systems" that are
usually not proven to be consistent winning strategies and want to learn a winning system should buy this book. |

Book Description
This is a must-read for any serious blackjack player. Let's start with its unusually high win rate. Richard Harvey's unique and comprehensive system posted an impressive 88% win rate in pre-publication real-world field testing at numerous casinos.
This is the first truly original blackjack book to come along in many years, and it questions and disproves many fundamental assumptions of the past.
It is based on years of computer and mathematical studies, but, more importantly, it is written by an author who is also an expert player, who has put his theories and concepts to the test - and very profitably - at many, many casinos over the course of more than a decade of experience.
You won't find another book with as many cutting-edge, original concepts, or with such a comprehensive approach to all aspects of the game.
Another reason to buy this book is that it alerts you to and prepares you for the many challenges you face at today's casinos. Anyone who's played blackjack a long time knows that the casinos of the Twenty-First Century are tougher to beat than those of just 10 years ago. Find out why, and how to respond to today's realities to become a consistent winner! Chapter 11 on "Casino Countermeasures & Dirty Tricks," for example, is worth the price of the book alone. It teaches you to detect and avoid cheating by dealers and casinos, and other unethical practices. It will save you thousands of dollars in potential losses. The author's documentation is encyclopedic, and full of personal anecdotes of scams he has encountered recently at the rogue casinos of Atlantic City, Las Vegas, New Mexico and elsewhere.
The Millennium Edition is the successor to two previous SOLD OUT editions of Blackjack The Smart Way, and is even better than its popular predecessors. With new content and updated strategies and concepts to reflect revelations gained in Richard Harvey's latest research projects and computer studies (to be revealed in greater mathematical detail in his already-back-ordered upcoming book, Cutting Edge Blackjack), this book's 288 pages are jam packed with powerful information, to be found nowhere else. Players of all levels will benefit greatly from this fresh look at the underlying mathematical realities today's player faces. Plus - everything is explained in easy-to-understand language, complete with many helpful illustrations.
With a great new, portable format (5.5" X 8.5") comes many other notable changes: an expansion of the popular sections on Card Observation and The X Factor (both of which are the author's inventions) and the chapters on "Dangers In Doubling & Splitting," and "Casino Countermeasures & Dirty Tricks;" more of the underlying math, presented in a way everyone can comprehend quickly; a fresh look at card strategy; more information on which dealer up cards are actually in the player's favor; a comprehensive index; and much, much more.
Written by a nationally acclaimed expert blackjack player, theoretician, researcher, seminar teacher and public speaker, it's chock full of anecdotes that speak to the author's experience and credibility.
This book - which leaves no stone unturned in examining every aspect of blackjack the player can control - will open many players' eyes to aspects of the game they never considered before. For instance, Richard Harvey's detailed methodologies for picking a good casino, and, once inside, a good table, could save a player thousands in potential losses alone.
Also, Blackjack The SMART Way - The Millennium Edition, was written with the average blackjack player in mind - the player who does not want to spend years memorizing Byzantine charts, nor has the bankroll to play like a reckless high roller.
It's a conservative, yet profitable system that has excited thousands in the short time it's been out. |
